Announcements/News

- Attention parents of all 9th and 11th graders:
Your child will be bringing home an envelope that contains a School Quality Survey on February 1, 2010.  Please take the time to fill out and return in the postage paid envelope.  This survey is so you can voice community opinions about our school. 

The results of the 2010 School Quality Survey will be available to the public in Fall 2010 on the DOE website.  You can view the results at http://arch.k12.hi.us.  We will use the information from the SQS to develop School Improvement Plans.

The final Deadline is March 1, 2010.

Thank you in advance for helping to improve our school.

Pearl City High School
In 1971, this institute for higher learning was created as an edifice of education, and it stands still as a paragon of excellence among schools throughout the United States. Pearl City High School is a tradition, an oath to education. With the fortitude of Principal Lammy Ching, its doors opened in September of 1971 with only a Freshman Class and a faculty of less than 30 members. During its first year of operation, only the A and B buildings were in use. P.E. was taught in A-B courtyard and lunch was served from B204. Every class had a slop bucket into which food was disposed. In the following years, C,D, E, F, K, L, and M buildings were constructed. Pearl City is reputed for its high achievement in all fields: academia, extra-curricular, fine arts and athletics.
